Park Community Church – Forest Glen is located on Chicago’s Northwest Side. Join us each Sunday as we seek to know God and make Him known.

Each message series is carefully designed with people just like you in mind: real people looking for real answers to issues they face everyday. At Park, we’re teaching God’s timeless truths from the Bible that speak to where you’re living today in your friends, family, career, and relationship with Jesus. If it’s real life and important for today, you can be sure at Park we’re talking about it.

We believe it’s what’s inside a person that matters, not the outside. At Park, we feel people should be able to come as they are and not feel judged. If you dress up or dress down, either way, you’ll find yourself fitting right in with people who genuinely care about you.

Street parking is available around the church building. Click here for directions via public transportation.

Yes! Loop Kids is our ministry for children from birth to 5th grade. Loop Kids teaches the Bible in a fun and engaging way and meets during our 9 AM and 11 AM worship gatherings.

The SHIFT Junior High Ministry (6th to 8th grade) meets every Sunday in the Fellowship Hall classroom during the 11 AM service, and on Wednesdays from 7-8:30PM. High School Students@Park (9th to 12th grade) meet every Sunday from 6-7:30 PM.

Small Groups

SMALL GROUPS
Living as a disciple of Jesus is about much more than attending Sunday worship gatherings. We are created for meaningful, grace-saturated community that goes beyond Sundays to affect our whole lives. At Park, the context in which we pursue that kind of life-transforming discipleship is in small groups.

Small groups are gatherings of men, women and families at all stages of life, typically meeting in homes throughout the week to study, grow in friendship, and invest in each other’s lives. Our small groups meet in neighborhoods across the Northwest Side of Chicago.

+ Join a Small Group

Every week small groups meet in homes across our neighborhood, including groups for men, women, married couples, and moms. Take the first step in joining a small group!

+ Lead a Small Group

A small group leader disciples and shepherds people in their group to know God and to make Him known. We seek leaders who are mature in their faith, demonstrate integrity compassion and show faithfulness, availability, and teachability. If you are interested in leading a small group your first step is to attend small group leader training. Check the events section to see upcoming dates and times.

Baptism

BAPTISM
Baptism is our outward expression of our inward faith. It is a way of publicly declaring that you are a follower of Christ. If you’ve never been baptized as a believer, come learn more about what Jesus says on this topic. For dates and times of our upcoming baptism classes, see our event section.

Serve

SERVE
As followers of Christ we are called to serve, and when we serve – we grow! We want to invited you to use your gifts and join one of our growing teams that help create an environment where people can connect with others, hear the Word of God, and worship Jesus. There are many roles open to serve at Park, and we would love to help you use your talents and experiences to lead, care for, and mobilize the church of God.

Give

GIVE
Giving is an act of worship. It recognizes God as the owner and source of all we have. It is our cheerful response to God in praise of His radical generosity towards us.

Partnership

PARTNERSHIP
“I thank God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus .” – Philippians 1:3-6

Our mission is simple: We live to know God and to make Him known, and we get to do that together as one body. Partnership at Park is more than just attending meetings and gatherings. Partnership (what some churches call membership) is for those who desire to commit to a spiritual family and the vision here at Park.

We believe God desires to accomplish great things through Park Community Church. Lives change when they come in contact with the grace of Jesus, and life change is happening all around us at Park. We invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with us in this work of God, and we are confident that He will complete the work He has begun in, among, and through each of us.

If you are ready to call Park Community Church your church home, we would love to invite you to attend an upcoming Partnership Class to learn more about our mission, vision, and how you can join our church family and partner with us in the Gospel.

Global

One vital part of our vision is see the Gospel of Jesus Christ impact the world. By God's grace, we partner with the other Park locations and our global partners toward that vision. We want to keep you informed on what God is doing around the world, so each month we'll hear an update of lives being impacted and opportunities for us to take next steps together. There will also be a few helpful resources for further study. As followers of Christ, this is one of the ways we fulfill the Great Commission.

Friendsgiving

Over 100 people hosted international students for a meal during the week of Thanksgiving!

Here is a story from a Park partner about her experience hosting as a small group:

"My small group and I took part in Friendsgiving this year and hosted 4 international students at our meal. It was a great opportunity for us to engage ourselves and our families with the beautiful diversity of the city. We ate a LOT of great food, made new friends, enjoyed time together as a community, and built bridges of love to some new Chicagoans." - Lindsey, Partner at Forest Glen

Stay tuned, this spring we will have another opportunity to host international students at our Easter worship gatherings and a meal!

Cross-Cultural Ministry Trips
Report from November Spain Team

Our team had the privilege of teaching as well as being taught in Spain. Teaching English to the children of North African immigrants was a blast but more importantly, it served the standing of the ministry center in their community and gave some well needed rest to their staff and volunteers. We also got a taste of what it is like to be thrown into a new language context as we sat through two Arabic classes. To hear and try to replicate the guttural sounds of the dialect humbled each of us, but also sensitized us to the realities of the immigrant experience. The initial dependence on others to navigate a new language and new way of doing almost everything provides a wonderful opportunity to engage with others with different backgrounds, and one that is easily transferable to Chicago. Our team was challenged to expand how we are engaging with the nations who have come to our doorstep here in Chicago!

Update from December Spain Team

A team of nine people from across three Park locations are still overcoming jet lag from getting back from Spain where they used their business skills to help the same ministry center where the former team taught English.

Here are ways we can continue praying for the two Spain teams:

  • A good foundation for the ongoing business incubation project

  • The Gospel to continue going forth from this partnership with local workers

  • Each team member will continue to have a greater understanding of the role they play in making disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:18-20)

If you're looking for an opportunity to serve in the upcoming new year, I hope you’ll consider applying for an upcoming cross-cultural ministry trip!

If you’ve been at Park on any given weekend, you’ll hear us share that our mission is to Know God and Make Him Known. We believe that life is a gift that comes from the awesome and mighty God we serve. Men’s, Women’s, and Topical Studies

Men's, Women's, and Topical Studies
Throughout the year we host special-interest studies through Scripture and important topics, in order to “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12). These include Men’s Challenges, Women’s Bible Studies, and more. The best way to discover which studies will be offered is to pick up an “At Park,” our monthly bulletin, during a Sunday worship gathering.
