Park Community Church – South Loop is located in Chicago’s South Loop Neighborhood. We exist to be a diverse biblical community where the Gospel of Jesus Christ transforms lives, renews the city, and impacts the world. We meet on Sundays at 9 & 11 and in small groups in homes throughout the week.

At Park Community Church we believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. Therefore, every Sunday as we gather together in our community we desire to dig into God's Word and understand the teachings found within its pages. At Park, the regular rhythm is to preach week by week through entire books of the Bible. Whether we are preaching from the Old Testament or the New Testament, every sermon will point us towards Jesus and the work He has accomplished through His death and resurrection. Further, every sermon will help us think about how to apply the Bible in our modern context. Whether you've been reading the Bible for years, or are brand new to its pages, we hope the sermons at Park will speak to you and challenge you in your journey of faith.

We believe it’s what’s inside a person that matters, not the outside. At Park, we feel people should be able to come as they are, and not feel judged. If you dress up or dress down, either way, you’ll find yourself fitting right in with people who genuinely care about you.

There is free parking in the lot next to our building. Click here for directions via public transportation.

Yes! Loop Kids is our ministry for children from birth to 5th grade. Loop Kids teaches the Bible in a fun and engaging way and meets during each worship gathering.

"Whether you’re in Chicago for a season or for life, we’d love to be a place you can call home!"

Children's Ministry

Loop Kids is our ministry for children from birth to 5th grade and meets during the Sunday
gathering. While you enjoy a service, your kids will engage in age-appropriate and Christ-
centered curriculum and worship. The Loop Kids ministry is based upon Psalm 66. It is our
prayer that through your child’s time in the children’s ministry, they learn about:

1) Joy in God
2) Glorifying God
3) Studying God's Word
4) Testifying to God's work in our lives

And as a parent, you can rest easy knowing your child is safe because we take safety seriously at Loop Kids. An automated check-in system ensures your children are secure and well cared for. In addition, Every volunteer that interacts with your child has been interviewed and screened, including personal reference checks, a criminal background check and safety

We are excited to serve your family and hope that you will join us at our Sunday morning service.

+ Volunteer with Loop Kids
We are always looking for awesome people to add to our volunteer team!

+ Child Dedication
If you’ve been at Park on any given weekend, you’ll hear us share that our mission is to Know God and Make Him Known. We believe that life is a gift that comes from the awesome and mighty God we serve. And so child dedication is about as parents, knowing God and making Him known to our children, and as a church family, partnering with parents and supporting families.

Children's Ministry Coordinator

At Park Community Church, the people on our Care Ministry are referred to as Deacons, based
on passages in 1 Timothy 3 and Acts 6:1-6. Our deacons are equipped to be a first point of
contact to find confidential care, prayer, and counsel within God's community. Whether you
need to speak with someone about Marriage, Divorce Care, Abuse, Grief, Drug Addiction,
Hospitalization, Mental Illness, Infertility, Homelessness, or any other need - we are here to
walk alongside you. No need is too big or too small. You can email our deacon team or meet
with a deacon after any Sunday gathering.

As followers of Christ we are called to serve, and when we serve – we grow! We want to invite you to use your gifts and join one of our growing teams that help create an environment where people can connect with others, hear the Word of God, and worship Jesus. There are many roles open to serve at South Loop, and we would love to help you use your talents and experiences to lead, care for, and mobilize the church of God:

The Connections Ministry creates an atmosphere where people are genuinely welcomed, valued, known, and accepted. We also encourage people to take a next step to connect in community and grow as a follower of Christ. As a Connections Ministry team member you will have the the unique privilege of intentionally engaging with people and creating a positive and welcoming experience for our guests.

The purpose and goal of the Music Ministry is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus as we use our voices and instruments to lead people in worship. God has blessed us individually with unique talents and we invite you to use them to reach the lost and build up the church. If you are a follower of Jesus and desire to use your musical ability to serve here at Park, we would love to have you join us.

The Production Team creates and produces our weekend Worship Gatherings. Be a part of creating a great worship experience by running a camera, mixing audio or running lights. Or, if you are an artist or actor, in film, or enjoy video producing, we would love to have you as part of the team. Training will be provided!

The Loop Kids team serve families at Near North in a variety of ways. These include greeting new families and running the check in system, being a consistent small group leader to our elementary kids, teaching the Bible to kids of all ages, and simply being a classroom helper and ensuring that every child feels known and loved when they come to Loop Kids. No matter where you might fit on our team, all of our leaders are excited about our mission of seeing every member of our families come to know God and make Him known.

Don't believe in God? Given up on church? Just curious? Alpha gives everyone the opportunity to ask the tough questions about life and God, in a safe setting. Alpha has ten sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. Each week is centered around dinner, a short talk, and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts and ask questions.

Baptism is our outward expression of our inward faith. It is a way of publicly declaring that you are a follower of Christ. If you’ve never been baptized as a believer, come learn more about what Jesus says on this topic. Register here for our next baptism class.

Become a Partner

“I thank God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus .” – Philippians 1:3-6

Our mission is simple: We exist to know God and to make Him known, and we get to do that together as one body. Partnership at Park is more than just attending meetings and gatherings. Partnership (what some churches call Membership) is for those who desire to commit to a spiritual family and the vision here at Park.

We believe God desires to accomplish great things through Park Community Church. Lives change when they come in contact with the grace of Jesus, and life change is happening all around us at Park. We invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with us in this work of God, and we are confident that He will complete the work He has begun in, among, and through each of us.

If you are ready to call Park Community Church your church home, we would love to invite you to attend an upcoming Partnership Class to learn more about our mission, vision, and how you can join our church family and partner with us in the Gospel.

Perspectives is a 15 week class that will change the way you view the world around you. In it, you will have your eyes opened to the heart and purpose of God, and how you can take part in His work all over the world, from the urban streets of America to the rainforest and deserts of distant lands.

Interested in becoming a disciple-maker? For 10 weeks, the group commits to a weekly "3-2-1" lifestyle: 3 hours abiding in Jesus, 2 hours together intentionally with those who don't know God, and 1 hour in prayer as a team.  Participants will grow in having spiritual conversations and sharing the gospel cross-culturally.  You can read more about it here.

Giving is an act of worship. It recognizes God as the owner and source of all we have. It is our cheerful response to God in praise of His radical generosity towards us.
